EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Inspired by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, The Community at Holy Family Manor (CHFM) supports and nurtures families by offering critical service throughout the life cycle. As the modern family’s needs evolve, so do the services of the CHFM ministry. Programs in the organization include Mt. Nazareth Learning Center, (infants-4-years old), Holy Family Manor (personal care home with dedicated memory care unit) and Nazareth Housing Services (home repair).

The Executive Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the organization by working with its Member, CSFN Mission & Ministry, Inc. (MMI), and the Board of Trustees and other management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will:

  1. Be committed to and uphold the Mission and Values of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth (CSFN) and The Community at Holy Family Manor, Inc. in the performance of duties.

 

  1. Ensure that the corporation is in compliance with its Mission and Values, and those of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth.

 

  1. Be willing to learn and support the roles of the governing Board of Trustees and its Member, CSFN Mission & Ministry, Inc., by modeling appropriate accountability with respect to the Board and in ongoing relationship with the CSFN sponsor.

 

  1. Establish a professional relationship with the Board of Trustees and assist the Board to develop the governance standards, policies and procedures required to assure its effective performance.

 

  1. Direct the strategic long-range planning process of the corporation and provide the information and expertise required for the Board of Trustees to establish effective objectives and the strategies to achieve them.

 

  1. Manage the affairs of the corporation and hold executive responsibility for the employees, operations, business affairs and assets of the organization.

 

  1. Demonstrate good stewardship over financial and material resources of the organization and establish sound management practices and ensures efficient financial and operational systems and performance standards.

 

  1. Present an annual operating and capital budget to the Board of Trustees for approval.

 

  1. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations by establishing effective monitoring procedures.

 

  1. Represent a positive and uniform public image of the corporation to the community at large and to civic and governmental bodies.

 

  1. Be a presence and available to the Directors, staff, residents, children and families.

 

  1. Carry out other designated responsibilities in the mission-driven organization, such as Mission Advancement, performs other duties essential to the successful management of the organization and other duties as assigned by the Board of Trustees.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.

 

  1. At least five years of progressive responsible executive/management level experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  1. Ability to articulate and advance the Mission and Values of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and CHFM.

 

  1. A strategic visionary with demonstrated leadership and analytical ability, good judgment, successful fundraiser, exceptional marketing competency, strong operational focus.

 

  1. Ability to provide able and efficient administrative oversight over each of the various programs at CHFM; namely, Mt. Nazareth Learning Center, Holy Family Manor and Nazareth Housing Services, and over the organization as a whole.       

 

  1. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.

 

  1. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.

 

  1. Demonstrate excellent communication and team building skills.

 

  1. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

 

  1. Knowledge of non-profit operations and regulations.

Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

Your role as an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist:

The administrative assistant/receptionist is responsible for operating a multi-phone and paging system. This individual will answer all incoming calls, redirect them as needed, and provide exceptional customer service to all visitors. Will welcome all on-site family members and visitors including vendors, clients and potential job candidates. This position is needed Thursday & Friday, 5pm-7pm, 2 holidays a year, and as needed for front desk coverage.

What you must have:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in administrative role

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • Must be computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook

  • Criminal background check/drug screening

  • Meets all health requirements imposed by law

Nurse Aide

Your role as a Nurse Aide:

Participates in the development of and implements all aspects of the resident service plan including purposeful lifestyle activities, planned and spontaneous activities, assistance with ADL and IDAL, and other programming and assistance as designated. Assists with operational needs as necessary to ensure quality of care and a safe living environment. Serves and provides assistance with meals including cleanup.

Team members needed:

Full time, Part time or PRN- Shifts will vary

7:00am-3:00pm

Additional $1.00/hr for shifts in Memory care Unit

Weekend Premium Rate from Friday at 3:00 pm shift to end Monday 7:00 am (Additional $1.00/hr)

Additional $1.00/hr for current CNA license, Medical Assistant and/or diploma of similar medical field

What you must have:

  • Passionate about providing care for elders

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • 1 year of experience as Nurse’s Aide/Care Aide

  • Act 34 and FBI clearances if not a PA resident for the last 2 years

  • Ability to read and write and to carry out instructions
